Do you not believe we'll reach the football league which is one of the chairman's targets?!

The word ambition is one I always find strange when used in that context, every club starts the season with the goal (or ambition) of reaching the next level so you could say they all have ambition I think there is often a misuse of the word particularly in football when what the person using it really means is that a club has money such as in this case with Barnet. Money cant guarantee success but it certainly helps as money can of course get you the best players.
The old saying goes "You can please some of the people some of the time, but you will never please all the people all the time." In fact sometimes it seems impossible to even please some of the people any of the time

Was quite surprised Ryan wasn't taken from us in the Jan window to be honest.. I thought his stock was higher than either Stokes or tolaj, but it's mainly attackers that create the most whisperings up and down the leagues.. I was even more puzzled as to how he was without contract until the last minute. Maybe he knows himself the reasons or the payment clause was a factor also..

Well done Tommy - and Worthing, a club whose chairman wants the club in the National League, for starters. Worthing's population is around 112,000 -larger by several thousand than Woking.
Never say never - unless!

It doesn't seem like Tommy Willard is setting the world alight at Worthing. Just two goals so far this season for an attacking midfielder isn't great. I feel like VNS is his level- seemed to be lacking pace for me. He's also 24 years old, which surprised me- he's old than Ryan Glover!

Ryan Glover and Ollie Harfield were the most improved players under TW last season. Both were asked to play different roles and became part of a great left flank. The rumour mill was that Ryan was offered a better deal with us but Barnet topped it so, as always, money talks.

TW at the preseason SC Q&A said Ryan Glover had been offered a new contract in January which he turned down Alan B ☺️

Ryan turned down our offer in May or early June, but joined Barnet in early August having been a free agent all summer.

Good luck to the lad.
Alex, maybe he was a far better player than we can take in at Aldershots level. He was a footballer, great brain and as others have said great commitment.
He even chose who he did over us....why ? ....ambition that's why.

On a number of occasions, Ryan definitely wasn’t committed when I watched him. It struck me that he was marking the space but not the player. He had the habit of pointing to a player that he was supposed to be marking on set pieces but not moving with that player. It seemed that he wanted to be involved offensively but was not interested in the other side of the game.
I wasn’t unhappy that he moved on frankly.
