Another goal tonight helping his team to all three points at Yeovil to go top of the league. He must be delighted how things are going for him.
and Richard Walden puts the Shots 1-0 up against Man Utd

For a player who spent the whole summer without a club, and doing spells at the PFA training camp to stay sharp, Ryan has definitely landed on his feet.

Agree, Ryan always gave 110% and consistently good standard, a real loss

I think a fair few of our support underestimated how good Ryan Glover was. Up there with Mnoga, Tolaj and Stokes in my opinion, and definitely more consistent.

We offered him a new deal but that doesn't necessarily mean it was a good one. Ryan spoke about not being in the best place mentally after last season and after the way he played against us it felt like he was holding a grudge, and that was before Theo deliberately smacked into him, I wouldn't be surprised if Ryan had fallen out with some at the club, if he hadn't then he probably has now.

He was one of our top performers last season along with Harfield, Mnoga, Stokes and Tolaj. For me he was one of the only players along with Tolaj who came out of the WBA game with any credit.

Unfortunately for various reasons none of them are playing for us now.

Good post and I totally agree that a lot of our supporters underestimated him. Even when he first joined us on loan and he was carrying an injury he always gave his all.

He was offered a new contract with the club and for whatever reasons he didn’t take it up.
I do remember Tommy saying at the Supporters Club fans forum at the beginning of the season that there had been no communication from Ryan and his agent regarding the contract. Obviously when that happens then as a club we had to move on.

Nobody can moan about his effort and work rate, 100% commitment. But I could never work out what type or style of player he was trying to be. And too often there was no end product.

Good luck to the lad.

Agree SFH and I thought Willard gave us a different dimension when he came on as sub.

I believe he (or more likely his agent) was certain that he would get an offer from a League club which may have played a part in his not re signing for us. I don't do social media (X or Facebook) but I do seem to recall from what people who do have said there were some comments that might have indicated that he also wanted a change due to not being happy here at the end of the season. He was a player I always rated and I wish he had stayed.

Agreed, apparently he wasn't to happy when he didn't get called up for England C team alongside our other players who did.

Not sure how not getting called up to England C would make him unhappy at the club , unless there was a blocker?

What position does he play for Barnet? He made that left wing back position his own for us last season after a few bumpy matches.

I’m not saying that’s the reason for him apparently being unhappy at the club just stating that he was unhappy and not being called up.
I think he plays the same position as he did for us.
