Theo was playing really well, thought he was unlucky with the sending off as apparently he had cramp in his arm and it was a spasm in the arm. The referee has realised his mistake.

I think Tommy did really well last year and I love his commitment to attacking football. My problem this season is that it was so blatantly obvious that he was backing himself into a corner by making Theo the captain when he had been OK but hardly excelled in his first season.

If we lose on December 7th we're out of the FA Trophy and all we have to look forward to is a relegation fight with a demoralised squad. I think it will be the end of Tommy if that happens.

Quote from the BBC interview: "Today I was really really calm with the fourth official". The fact Tommy sees that as something to boast about is telling.

What about those two players that threw punches at each other during the borg error.. both dismissed.. at billerrciay I seem to remember. Theo must be close to the line with what he did.. not really acceptable

The description of the incident in the report on the official site is:

“Theo Widdrington was then shown a straight red card a few minutes later after a coming together out of sight from the Press Bench and the Shots were reduced to 10-men.”

Hard to believe the writer didn’t see any footage of it considering I’d seen it within a few minutes of it happening and I’m 10,000 miles away!

Firstly, just watched the game highlights, can I say take away Jimmy Surgrues few red cards, Theo’s was outstandingly stupid, letting fans down, his team mates, our BOD and most of all his Dad down. I’ve stuck up for him this season but this time stupid is what stupid does.

Next, I’m happy with Tommy and could not wear the club tie he adorns HOWEVER stop playing round pegs in square holes. You have a solid enough defender on the bench PLAY HIM !!!! Our defencive play is the shoddiest I’ve seen for some time. It needs sorting, ignoring it will be our downfall.

Finally to our Club Interviewer, if you are going to dance around the sending off and chose not to bring it up, take the night off the rest of your questions meant beggar all.

Crikey, second moan of the season !!!!

Wasn't the best night for Akpan with the needless penalty and should have done better defending the two other goals, albeit the second goal came from the free kick from Theo's stupidity. We were only 1-0 down and he was already on a yellow anyway it's the stupidest red card we've had in a long time, can't even argue about it because it was so blatant. We shot ourselves in the foot with the penalty but Theo cost us the chance of getting something from that game. It would have likely stayed 1-0 for at least a bit longer and we would have had 11 men still.

TW comments to Rob on radio interview about not one person in the group let Theo have it apart from himself were interesting. Maybe they don’t think they can.

That's the one I picked up on as well. Sean.
I interpret that as they are scared to say anything against the boy in case they lose their place.

A positive or two.
Lovely! Bit of quick thinking for the free kick to put Tetek through for the first goal
Great finish for the second from Jack.

Tommy mentioned that Josh Barrett got a booking for dissent but there was no mention of it on Flashscore or FWP

Same with Bray, he seems to have disappeared as well.
That’s not fair. We got that Rocky-style montage of his rehabilitation.

Despite not being told about his injury.
