Good result lads.
Decent performance after going 2 ahead and could’ve scored more.
Managed the game well.

Board quite quiet tonight
A lot of chat about todays game being a must win
Surely some credit due to the players for delivering the goods?
James Henry worth a lot of points to us, and unfashionable to say but Barrett the same?
Dislcaimer - not at the game today and don’t want to get Jim Royles wrath for not attending

Loved the way the shots hassled and chased Alty down
2-1 flattered them
Keep it going shots

Yes it was a much needed win today just one look at the league table tells you that. In a way I feel that the conditions helped us in that it wasn"t really a day for playing out from the back. I think we got to grips with them after the first 20 minutes or so and they didn't really threaten us too much for long periods. Second half we continually won the ball back from them as they tried to play out and through the midfield and we were able to manage the game effectively. A bit disappointed that we didn't add to our tally once they went down to ten, and also that we didn't manage to keep a clean sheet. But relieved we got back to winning ways, every point will be important to us I feel this campaign.

Not a day for tiki-taka,but Alty tried their best, neat slick play on the ground, but obviously missing Linney up front, and no real penetration . Shots worked their socks off, and were rewarded with the points, although the conceded goal was as calamitous as usual.
Vital 3 points, hopefully scrape a few more from the next couple of games.
Well done all.

A great turnout considering the weather. Fair play to the 84 Altrincham supporters who made the trip and at points in the game made their voices heard. Apart from the last minute consolation goal they posed very little threat to Aldershot which I found surprising. Their goalkeeper Ethan Ross seemed to shy away from goalkicks in the second half to avoid the "You're sh*t ahhh" chants from the East Bank
