Well done Shots seems we put a good shift in today something we need to repeat not just a one off, backs against the wall mentality in every game from now on, what we lack in quality we have to make up for in team work and effort.

The players and managers can be found hanging around the hospitality areas of the ground after the game. So if you're able to pay £33 for a Directors Box seat or £55 for hospitality then a) you might be lucky enough to meet them and b) they'll be prepared to answer your questions. If you can't afford that then just wait around for about an hour at the players entrance after the game. Don't know why everyone is moaning, it's so straightforward to get your questions answered.Gone West wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2024 8:19 pmThis is a genuine question. When I leave the East Bank at the end of a game how would I get to chat through my observations with the management or players, where would I go? I have only ever spoken to players when bumping into them by chance…..a couple of fairly recent examples being on Chesterfield station platform and in Costa Coffee Swindon.Dr Jim Royle wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2024 8:03 pmWell Bobby, I can only say met BOD members, players and Managers to chat after games. Players are usually the most reserved. Tommy was refreshingly honest with me, I was quite taken aback at some of his answers to my questions. And you are right some groaners on here may not be able to chat after games ....... probably as they never attend gamesNot a terribly sensible post.
To many of us, the logistics of meeting up individually with the manager and players do not add up. Quite apart from anything else, emotions can run high after a game and neither side may be as rational as one might hope. Also, this line of advice (often advocated by Jim Royal) presupposes that manager and players are inclined to be open and honest in response to views expressed. What are your reasons for presupposing this? Ultimately, it's up to the manager to communicate with the supporters by the usual means, always understanding that some things need to remain private.
As for your last point, surely everyone understands that a manager gets praise when the team is playing well and getting results and criticism when not. WTF else do you expect?
Apologies, I'm descending to their level now.

You would have to wait after game in downstairs bar, after a while top bar is still open. But you could book a hospitality day, fantastic day out in lounge and grub. Or you could ask Shahid if he had spare time for a chat. Basically it is down to you how you do it, there are ways. This is a genuine question. Not sure I could justify the expense of hospitality when I already have to prioritise my spending for everyday living so would have to look at other options but thank you for the response.Dr Jim Royle wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2024 8:36 pmYou would have to wait after game in downstairs bar, after a while top bar is still open. A good point in the end but another game without a win. Good to see barham getting the minutes he is the best finisher at the club and should be automatic in terms of selection.
Hopefully a turning point but we need a win as we are seriously flirting with relegation!

At the start of the season, Tommy said that Jack needed an op, but intended to try and play on with treatment and injections. All credit to him, he's giving his all even though he's carrying this problem.JOELC26 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2024 9:23 pm A good point in the end but another game without a win. Yes a good point but we need more than that next week. A home win might just give us all a little boost.

The way I see it is if we beat Altrincham then today’s draw at Gateshead is a good one, lose to alty then we’re back to square one
