That is true. Not necessarily a criticism of the BoD but there is definitely a pattern there and I am guessing it is finances, although some have hardly set the world alight since leaving.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Folk forget that BOD members have already invested heavily in obtaining shares that mean they can sit on the top deck, that money in all honesty will be pretty worthless as it is just about an investment that you write off.No money

Our Directors may have a few bob in their banks and from time to time they very likely dip into it to loan our Club monies. Some just maybe they can write off, mostly they are not that rich to do that so want it back as and when Club able.
Personally I see no point always firing bullets at our BOD, fairly obvious they have stretched as far as they can money wise and there are no folk about to make them an offer they cannot refuse. Hence why I fail to understand just why our fans cannot understand that we are where we are. Yes frustrating but no point angering your heart and stress it out.

I think at least one expected a return via the proposed redevelopment, or have I misunderstood?Dr Jim Royle wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 10:41 amFolk forget that BOD members have already invested heavily in obtaining shares that mean they can sit on the top deck, that money in all honesty will be pretty worthless as it is just about an investment that you write off.No money

Re: Waving the white flag
Not sure any club would want TW at the moment. Whilst there is no point having a pop at the BOD about on the pitch rubbish. I think there is some merit in people rightly askng about these targets that Azem set and how he is expecting to achieve any of them without more investment.
Sorry Dr JIm but I think people do understand why we are where we are, but why should we just accept it, and why shouldn't we see a bit of improvement from time to time, other teams can do it.

All this frothing at the mouth
And Impatient wailing.
Not good for the heart.
Or peace of mind.
Sit back.
Allow the manager to do what he thinks best.
Trust to patience and realism as the best way ahead.
For a club with our limited resources.
Thus let him build, test, make mistakes.
Find a path to relative success.
In harmony with the club's resources.
And when he becomes that good.
He'll leave to join the higher ups.
Reality.
Enjoy the good while you can.
In gratitude.
Here endeth the lesson.

How do you know?
How can Woking get a buyer and we cant?
We know most clubs in our league are better off than us, why because they have better backers, so there is people out there, fact.
Why don't our board publicly make the club available for a sale?
Maybe someone just likes the status, maybe someone just wants a gong.
the communication at the club is appalling; no news on the ground development, its to be done by 2026, or is it, who knows!

Re: Waving the white flag
How very dare you suggest that there might be someone out there that might want to take the club over... I'm not sure how many times it needs saying but the current chairman is the only person on the planet that can run the club... even the very idea someone could do a better job, the bloody cheeky of it. We should all be grateful we still have a club to support, lets let it find its natural level and be grateful for the experiance.
Re: Waving the white flag
Will the chairman actually hold his hands up and say there is going to be no ground development, no EFL football and we will still have heavy debts in 2026? At the moment he's heading for complete and utter failure on all counts. Or are we all meant to forget he ever said it? I think that might be the plan.

Best ask why the chairman why he said being back in the football league was one of his targets. With an average finish of 15th since 2013 then why not come out and say that is where we should be.Dr Jim Royle wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 10:41 amFolk forget that BOD members have already invested heavily in obtaining shares that mean they can sit on the top deck, that money in all honesty will be pretty worthless as it is just about an investment that you write off.No money

Failed on all counts, even with a £1m+ windfall last season...Mytshot wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 8:07 pm Will the chairman actually hold his hands up and say there is going to be no ground development, no EFL football and we will still have heavy debts in 2026? Mate the housing will be built but then the money will run out leaving just a village green size rec . Still a recreational park but not up to any standard of Football except intermediate. It will be move or die ,while Shahid disappears .Josh wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 9:05 pmBest ask why the chairman why he said being back in the football league was one of his targets.
