The South Stand is slightly higher you look down more

Got to agree with this, the view from south stand is better because of the height, best view in the ground from the back row.

I am surprised you say its higher because depending where you sit in the North Stand the Back row of the North Stand is actually a fraction higher. The South Stand has 10 rows of seats whilst the North Stand has 11 rows at the East end of the North Stand seating. I do accept though that because of the Directors box the South Stand is better if you want to sit near the halfway line.

Sorry to disagree with you Richard, but the rake of the South stand is steeper so you are much higher up, it is by far a better view.

Something that will draw the locals in when no football is being played, to do mainly with sport not Religion.

The more I read on here, the more that I wish we had a new site. The sale of MOD land was a great opportunity lost IMO. We are trying to fit an EFL standard stadium into a really tight space, thanks to the old BT office, a Buddhist temple, a new old peoples home, and no tangible car parking. The draw of being sited near the centre of Aldershot is really no longer valid, as the commercial side of the town is dead (yes I know about the building of flats and retail outlets currently ongoing, but the town will not compete with its near neighbours).

Spot on post, as i said earlier if anything happens this is what needs to be listened too not that we need trees. We are not Forest Green. Its now 2023 not 1970.

I get your point but how many people bought tickets when the Dalai Lama came to give a talk and bless/curse the pitch? There’s an income there for sure and why not explore all possibilities.

Fair play.....might work though one thing i have seen the Nepalese are loyal to themselves (unless they recieve the kings silver) no matter what generation they stay tight together. As a one off yes not constantly.

Unsure how a new Rec could possibly come under budget in comparison?

Really think glulam timber should be considered as a building material, not only for comparable cost savings but as an exposed beam wall/ceiling feature.
Nothing screams "high end" about Boston's wedding reception facilities either, at least my misses wouldn't think so.
