Re: The 2025 FA Trophy Final - Aldershot Town 3-0 Spennymoor Town (Match Day Thread)
Watching the FA Cup final. Is it only me who wonders how many Shots fans didn’t leave on Sunday?

Can anybody tell me, was there an official programme at Wembley. Or was it a team sheet for both finals. There was a programme it covered both games Programmes were difficult to get with “Club Wembley” selling out before our game kicked off. However they got a few more which were being sold on a st...

Re: How to turn irregular into regular supporters
Not speaking for myself because I'll go anyway, and my kids probably won't, but I think the gap and the opportunity is families, especially with younger kids. There were loads at the parade. How to get them through the door at the weekend? I think this then becomes about the facilities - old white ...

Re: Ex-Players & Managers thread May 1st on
Ethan Chislett released by Port Vale That's a surprise. 168 EFL appearances, 26 goals, and still only 26. Surely he'll be snapped up by an EFL club? I would say that Ethan was the standout signing of the awful Danny Searle years. Lots of people gave Danny credit for "finding" Chislett but...

Re: How to turn irregular into regular supporters
These type of discussions crop up after every big game. There's only one answer.....Success that's the only way. Yes some from Sunday might come at the start of next season but when they realise that watching Aldershot is a hard slog most of the time they'll soon stop. Got to say that “Success” rea...

Changing tack, but wasn’t it great to see so many former Shots legends like Murray Brodie, Dave Puckett and others at Wembley?

there's a good facebook page showing food from different football grounds. Some are worse than us, many are much, much better. I'm not talking full Emirates gentrification food, but just selling really good burgers or whatever. They seem to sell what they have well enough so maybe it's just not nec...

Re: The 2025 FA Trophy Final - Aldershot Town 3-0 Spennymoor Town (Match Day Thread)
The Rec may not be the loveliest football ground in the world, but as I said before I don’t think people go to football to admire the architecture and facilities of the stadium as priority. You could say by the same analogy that people won’t want to go to a Wetherspoons, but the draw is the product...

Re: Open top bus tour details
I’m glad it was a success and people had fun 👍🏻 We absolutely did Alex and we made memories that will last a lifetime, what a shame you couldn't join the thousands that saw something very special, an evening where we experienced a whole community coming together 🫢 Some things just aren’t for everyo...
Re: Thank You
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all at Aldershot Town. I first went to the Rec in 1970, had a season ticket for years, and have followed them around the country. Age and distance means I don’t get to see them as much these days, but I just had to be there yesterday. I was beginning to thin...

Re: Open top bus tour details
I think this is a great thing to do, I agree about promotion being better but the trophy specially at Wembley is far better than the Ryman and Hampshire cup wins! A win in any competition is special and important in its own right. In my view we should not think anything is any better than something...

Re: Against Modern Football
We have a suffering Man U fan at work and EPL chatter at times dominates other sports. My reply to what football interests me was my local club and sometimes local lower semi-pro football as a neutral and a non league club overseas. The consensus I got was the A-league is boring, to which I was dip...
