Re: Reading troubles
How will this pan out ? It's 100% humiliating for the EFL who-not for the first time-have approved unfit and improper people to take over clubs despite endless warnings and evidence. The EFL is actualy unfit to run the EFL. But-as with all quango's (or even public sector management) there is no come...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
Blimey ! Arson must be a popular Northern pastime! We're on the wrong side of the Watford gap .....though as Lanternhall reminds us it got the Lakeside a make-over

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
Would arson and an insurance payout be a way forward? I think that's already been tried up in Darlo I think it was Doncaster-the chairman torched the main stand and got put away for arson. I think his sole interest in Doncaster was in flogging Belle Vue which was close to the race track and was qui...

One thing I'd love to se and it won't cost much is GOALS WITH STANCHIONS !!!!! I can't stand the box goals every tedious ground has. You can't score a great goal unless the net is angled by stanchions!

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
I think stands as Boston's West Stand on 3 sides of The Rec (North/South/High St) and then of course something really special for the East Bank standing area. That would give us an approx 12,000 capacity (2,100 seated on 3 sides, plus say 6,000 standing for the East Bank). Nice one and what we've g...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
When you think of it, what other club is restricted in land growth for its ground by a redundant office block, an old peoples home, an ageing High Street, and a buddhist temple! Totally laughable if not true! The only club I can think of that is more hemmed in than us is Luton Town.....and they're ...

Re: Boom Boom Mk2 (The laughs continue)
Yesterday was awful! First I got into fight with a man dressed as Shakespeare, then I almost choked on a German sausage. It just went from bard to wurst. Speaking of Shakespeare , I heard you solved the age old mystery of who wrote Hamlet-Shakespeare or Bacon-proving beyond doubt it was WS. After y...

Re: Boom Boom Mk2 (The laughs continue)
Thought I would pop on this thread to see what the fuss was about. (I pretty much ignored the original thread). So glad we "saved" the message board now. This stuff if life changing ;-) Possibly the worst joke ever! What's the difference between a retired Royal Navy Officer and one who ha...
