Dreadful team selection. We deserve to get beaten. Utterly brainless.

Re: National League South Title Race

Weston-super-Mare are just 4 points outside the final play off place. WsM to go up via the play offs with Truro up as champions would be my choice. That said, WsM are a bit out of form. Good away win today though and now just two points off a play off place. Luke Coulson hatrick today…..there’s a p...

Re: What would you choose? Relegation/Survival v FA Trophy Final Win/Loss

These "would you rather X or Y?" questions leave me cold. We simply don't have to choose. It's not an either/or situation. More to the point, we don't actually HAVE the choice.

Would you rather go to bed with Natalie Portman or Eva Green? Yeah, well, the chance would be a fine thing.

Could lose to fylde at full strength. It's all about which hypothetical you want to get most worked up about Sorry Silas but I feel I have to say you are completely wrong here. It’s not that we COULD lose at full strength, It’s that we are far MORE LIKELY to lose if not at full strength. How's it w...

Re: Rochdale 4-0 Aldershot Town - Saturday 29th March 2025 (Match Day Thread)

Sorry, Peter, but that is the falsest of false analogies. There is simply no sensible equivalence between delivering letters and playing professional sport. Delivering letters is not a highly competitive occupation in which the consequences of performing below par because of fatigue, carrying an in...

Re: Rochdale 4-0 Aldershot Town - Saturday 29th March 2025 (Match Day Thread)

Interesting point Shotsboy. When I first started supporting the Shots in 1961, Dave Smith was Secretary/Manager and Jimmy Sirrell was the trainer (complete with bucket and sponge) and that was it, basically. Of course things have changed but just how many support staff does a manager at a club like...

Re: Rochdale 4-0 Aldershot Town - Saturday 29th March 2025 (Match Day Thread)

Mr deen, I appreciate sportsman do get tired but it’s become a weird obsession, I simply can’t accept playing 2 football matches in a week is too much You can't accept it but the sports scientist (and I think we have one) will have evidence on which to base their decisions. They can see how fast an...

Lose to fylde on Saturday because of pure stupidity and come 5 o’clock Saturday evening we could be 5 points clear of the drop having been 10 points clear 24 hours ago, totally brainless idea Could lose to fylde at full strength. Re: (not shots related) Yeovil lost £2.8m in 23/24

Well, it's either "interesting" or "stupid" depending on your point of view. There is nothing unusual about only having restricted times when money comes in ... pretty much any professional sport, wedding venues, hop picking, boat trips viewing the Severn Bore, Santa's Grotto, f...

Re: (not shots related) Yeovil lost £2.8m in 23/24

I've seen a couple of these today. I don't think it's anything too challenging, this Hooper man does some national league stats and not the angry type at all. I think the Yeovil owner is probably a bit thin skinned. There are various screenshots doing the rounds with him arguing with fans. Kieran M...

I hope for your sakes that coming back to you rekindles his enthusiasm as he certainly rarely showed it at Ebbsfleet. Earned the nickname, ",The Lamp post" due to his unwillingness to move very far/ chase the ball. Rarely managed to hold the ball up or win headers either. We reckon ,based...

Re: National League South Title Race

apart from the awful away end sightlines i dont have an issue with Dorking. Nor me. An easy journey. A lovely town with great local beer. A manager who cares enough about visiting fans to put his hand in his pocket and buy them a beer. OK, the plastic pitch and the cramped away end are not perfect,...

Re: 'B' team for Fylde on Tues' ?

Will Tommy be putting out our 'B' team v Fylde on Tuesday to keep our first team players injury free for the Trophy Semi. If we do field our 'B' team other team in the relegation scrap will not be best pleased if we appear to be gifting Fylde the three points. No, no, no. And if you did not underst...

Club banning critical fans. Getting ridiculous. Imagine that here lol.
I wonder what the unfortunate Mr Hooper said? Presumably, it was a little more than negative comments about the quality of the burgers in Huish Park?
