Re: 1979 Ford Escort

My first car …. Vauxhall Viva 1967 model, light blue and the only thing that did not fail on it was my 8 track stereo. Tried a few Escorts but thought better and concentrated on cars. Would say the Ford Capri was good parked up at Pantiles. Company cars became my luxury and exchanged every two years...

Re: Manager update

DID YOU KNOW?

If all the non attending of games that Post on here, were to enter the £2 a week IN WITH A SHOT game, we would have a new centre forward before you know it. AND they could feel it legitimate to have their groans listened to with a tadge of sympathy ....... not sure of that bit.

Re: MATCHDAY THREAD - Gateshead vs ATFC - Sat 16th 3pm KO

This is a genuine question. When I leave the East Bank at the end of a game how would I get to chat through my observations with the management or players, where would I go? I have only ever spoken to players when bumping into them by chance…..a couple of fairly recent examples being on Chesterfiel...

Re: MATCHDAY THREAD - Gateshead vs ATFC - Sat 16th 3pm KO

Not a terribly sensible post. To many of us, the logistics of meeting up individually with the manager and players do not add up. Quite apart from anything else, emotions can run high after a game and neither side may be as rational as one might hope. Also, this line of advice (often advocated by J...

Re: MATCHDAY THREAD - Gateshead vs ATFC - Sat 16th 3pm KO

The team seem down on confidence, the tactics we employ are well and truly sussed by opposition who just focus on our weakness and Tommy seems not to know his best eleven.

So I will go for a 2-0 win to the Shots

Re: Waving the white flag

I don't think JR and Shahid are "mates", they've spoken a few times because JR has asked for a meeting. I also don't accept that JR is in a minority, he's just being realistic. If Shahid was stubbornly holding on to power and fighting off other investors I'd also want him to go but as far...

Re: Waving the white flag

It is interesting that Shahid is being hung out to dry with his hopes of returning to the EFL within 5 years, ground development etc. Who remembers Terry Owens 10 year plan to return the the EFL? The programmes had a dartboard with the bullseye being this moment. I know for a fact many teams showed ...

No money Not Azeem’s fault Just the way it is Folk forget that BOD members have already invested heavily in obtaining shares that mean they can sit on the top deck, that money in all honesty will be pretty worthless as it is just about an investment that you write off. Our Directors may have a few ...

I dreamt I saw Death, War, Famine, and Conquest all riding towards me. Each one looked as if they wanted to kiss me.

Yes they were the four horsemen of the puckered lips.
