Re: Season Tickets
We rely almost exclusively on match revenue. Other than sponsorship, we have virtually no other revenue. The vast majority of clubs, even at levels far below us, have regular income from social activities, events, etc. When the Rec redevelopment goes ahead..er..anyway, ..meanwhile, stump up, punters..
Re: Rec Pitch
Traditionally theRec has had an excellent pitch. What the he'll has gone so wrong since Nunny left, and whose to blame ? Depends how far back”traditional “ you want to go. When maintained by AldershotB.C.for 50 years or more it was a desert by April when local cup finals took place, and seasonal ma...

Re: How to turn irregular into regular supporters
I think this then becomes about the facilities - old white blokes are used to **** toilets What sort of lazy and inaccurate stereotype is that? Actually,a pretty fair comment about the facilities I think, there’s a fair few old school that revel in the reputation of grottiness. A majority of...

Re: Pride in Aldershot!
Born in the town, lived in the town for all of my long life. It’s seen better times, for sure, but has always had a sense of community and identity. Unfortunately we are an island of deprivation in an an affluent ocean. We may be on the cusp of better times, but with the whole country going down the...

Re: Open top bus tour details
This has always been a “football “ town, but we have been let down by maladministration, incompetence and inertia at the club. We have always deserved better; maybe, just maybe, this may be a catalyst for change. But I wouldn’t put any money on it. Cynical old scrote… Great couple of days, my old da...

Re: The 2025 FA Trophy Final - Aldershot Town v Spennymoor Town (Match Day Thread)
Story of the season. No CF, no pace, little creativity. Can’t call this, a Spennymoor breakaway could decide it, despite our possession
Re: Rec Pitch
Shahid has continually said in the past "We are sustainable" We're not.. He did say he wanted us in the Football League but no idea how that is achievable. No idea what's going on with the ground. Think the chairman needs to come out and tell it as it is. We are now a relatively small Nat...

Back to topic: Those that traveled to Halifax will confirm the poor state of their pitch. Unless they are making expensive alterations and expenditure, it’s likely to deteriorate further… FC Halifax Town @FCHTOnline Follow Following discussions with the EFL and the National League, it is agreed that...

Does anyone know if tickets are likely to be available on the gate? I turned up as a “ neutral” 3 or 4 years ago, and paid on entry. Things have moved on, of course, but would be very surprised if entry was not possible. I mean, it’s not even gonna be 1/3 full, and there’s always a neutral section.

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
No news is good news as far as I’m concerned. For me, the only fly in the ointment is the absence of non-match day income, which would be remedied by ground redevelopment….Oh, wait a minute..

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
Yeah, the HSE has tremendous potential, a hotel was originally scheduled for this site, as we know, and there is room to utilise the natural slope to accommodate all manner of assets, all under a nice stand. Whether the budget will stretch is another matter, but putting everyday facilities at the fr...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
I agree that if they wanted to then they could do the development themselves and then lease it to the football club once completed but why would they want to when its easier to just lease all the land and say "If you want it go and do it" plus if they did the development and built the sta...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
No I don’t recall RBC being invited to become partners and rejecting the idea Richard. What I’m saying is RBC don’t need partners to do any of this, least of all with the owners of this football club. I agree that if they wanted to then they could do the development themselves and then lease it to ...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
That's fair enough Richard and I totally understand that, but considering there is likely to be over 4000 at the ground tomorrow, would it not be a health and safety issue with the limited space available at the front, with both home and away fans mixing? Thats a fair comment margateshot and in my ...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development
O.k., will accept that the EastBank roof needs replacing. Presumably it’s not a danger except during removal. My concern is with budget and compromises which are inevitably going to have to be made. It will be interesting to see initial proposals to give some indication of how much development can b...
