Re: Season Tickets

I think the BOD need to have a serious rethink if their intention is to increase the basic attendance price to £25. At £25 I'll go to even less games. It's too much. I can watch around 8 games a day for free legally via satellite if I want to watch football. Not domestic matches ‘legally’, surely? ...

Re: How to turn irregular into regular supporters

Have a walk around the Rec, it's obvious that's its seen better days and I really don't how much longer it's going to be suitable to stage football at our level. With regulations changing constantly, in the worst case scenario I can see sections of the ground being closed off soon, unless some seri...

Re: How to turn irregular into regular supporters

There is comment on another thread about facilities and how they might affect attendance and whilst I can accept there are some who feel this is the key, I still feel that a successful team (which remains successful) and exciting football is more likely to be what a majority of people want to see. ...

Re: How to turn irregular into regular supporters

Question to ChatGPT: When a football club wins the FA trophy, do attendances increase the following season Winning the FA Trophy can have a positive effect on attendances for a non-league football club in the following season, but the impact is generally modest and depends on several key factors: 📈 ...

Re: The 2025 FA Trophy Final - Aldershot Town 3-0 Spennymoor Town (Match Day Thread)

It was my first game in a very long time, going to football lost its sparkle for me a few years ago when my Dad was no longer able to go. But there was no way either of us were going to miss the chance to see the Shots play at Wembley and it was a great day out - the chance to go to football as a f...

Re: I WAS OVERWHELMED AT WEMBLEY

When I got home, the first question my Wife asked was 'Did they Win?'. The second was 'did you see Terry and Rak?' A Wembley win wasn't one of your targets in 1992 Terry and nobody would have believed you had it been! What a testimony it is to all those that have stood by the belief that Aldershot T...

Re: The 2025 FA Trophy Final - Aldershot Town v Spennymoor Town (Match Day Thread)

This means its likely our total sale will be very close to the current 19,000 allocation. Plus a good few who bought in the neutral section to get the group size they wanted. It’s an amazing level of support but I’m guessing my group of 4 is typical. I go to a handful of games a season, the other 3...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development

It’s been announced today that West Ham are getting 6,500 square metres of Solar panels on the roof of the London stadium. The work should be completed by next summer and the £4.35 million project is getting support from the Mayor of London’s Green energy fund. The solar power generated will provid...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development

I understand the development can’t proceed as the MOD won’t sell the access land at a price which makes sense to the project. I’m interested in learning what the EFL require from a newly promoted club stadium wise (would a smaller stadium and footprint be sensible if we were to get promoted?) and d...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development

I appreciate that you would need a full feasibility study for something that extensive but what I am asking is how you think it could be made to work "In principle" as your suggesting it. Without being led into a faux feasibility study on an internet thread, It would, in principle, involv...

Re: Constructive ideas for Ground Development

SOT I am genuinely interested in how you could see this Community Share Scheme working because in principle I am all for the idea of "genuine" community stadiums which become an asset to their communities but to do so they do have to offer something other than just football on a Saturday ...
